About the Role This role will support the achievement of organisational objectives through the ongoing review of reporting requirements across both contracted services and corporate services functions. This includes gathering requirements, designing, and delivery of Data & Reporting solutions. The Analytics Engineer is also responsible for ensuring high levels of Azure Data Warehouse availability,report and dashboard availability through support functions and in-depth testing. This is a full time, ongoing position based at our Head Office in Melrose Park. You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9-day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full-time employee in addition to the ability to salary sacrifice. About You To be successful in the role you will be able to: - Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Workskil data platform, including all related Business Intelligence solutions (Power BI/Fabric.)
- Seek Executive and Managerial input into the content and structure of reports and dashboards in order to best deliver key insights relating to performance and compliance metrics.
- Deliver structured reports and dashboards in a timely manner which provide the necessary information and insight to end users
- Provide ad-hoc support in the creation of data assets, reports and dashboards to assist the ongoing management of business function
- Analyze data and trends to suggest changes in business processes or identify areas for further investigation or review
- Assist in the design and delivery of end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.
- Act as an evangelist for Business Intelligence benefits across the organization; promote BI usage to relevant departments.
- Develop data pipelines with ETL/ELT strategies that ingest and curate data from either on-premise or cloud, internal or external systems
- Automate and maintain data ingestion and analytical dataset refresh processes ensuring all data assets are of good quality and up to date.
- Delivery of a suite of required reports and dashboards in accordance with defined timeframes
- Identification of opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies within the Data & Reporting Team.
You will also be required to: - Have minimum three years plus experience in working in data and related roles.
- Have experience with Microsoft Cloud Data and Reporting development toolsets (e.g., Power BI, Azure DevOps, Azure Synaps, Fabric etc.) and knowledge on programming languages (e.g., Python and PowerShell.)
- Proficiency with SQL to implement data transformation as well as optimize existing query performance.
