About the Role This role will oversee employer sales and servicing for an Employment Region for Transition to Work (roles focused on young job seekers - 15 to 24 years of age). The role will focus on direct marketing, vacancy gathering and management, development of pre-employment programs, Apprenticeships and Traineeships. Travel across the region will be required so holding an unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to drive are essential for this role. This role is being offered on a full time, ongoing basis at our Bunbury Site. You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9 day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full time employee in addition to the ability to salary package. About You To be successful in the role you will have: - Proven success in recruitment, sales, community engagement or business development;
- Build and manage effective relationships with employers in an Employment Region or State to maiximise employment opportunities for young Transition to Work Participants to achieve performance measures.
- Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities and maintain attention to detail;
- Strong understanding of the local labour market and the needs and expectations of employers;
- Organise high quality and innovative pre-employment programs for employers or industry, suitable for Transition to Work Participants.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and ability to listen to feedback; and
- Proven ability to work with young people and especially young people who are culturally or linguistically diverse, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and young people with a prior offender history; and
- Strong administration skills and the ability to develop professional and articulate written communication and proposals to employers.
You will also be required to: - Hold a current driver’s licence;
- Have at least 12 months of recruitment and/or vacancy management;
- Have at least two years’ experience in a sales or business development role;
- Have strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite and ability to type (minimum 30 words per minute); and
- Have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or Youth or ability to obtain one with Workskil Australia’s support.
