Customer Service Officer
Broadmeadows, VIC

 

About the Role

 

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Customer Service Officer (CSO) to join our Broadmeadows team. This role is responsible for making delightful first impressions on our customers, being the face of Workskil Broadmeadows. This superstar administrator directs inquiries to the appropriate area, in a timely manner and provides operational support to their colleagues.

 

The successful candidate finds balancing day to day tasks easy with strong time management and organisational skills. They are competent using the Microsoft suite and have experience taking accurate queries by phone and using a customer relationship management system. As the first point of contact for all visitors to the site the CSO has a professional and friendly demeanour, even when dealing with a wide range of people, which can at times be challenging. Teamwork is paramount, as the site works closely to assist customers into quality employment.

 

This role is being offered on a full time, fixed term contract, ending 31 July 2020. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

 

 

What we're looking for  

  • Excellent administration skills, attention to detail and computer literacy; including competent with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience in a busy reception or front of house role dealing with a wide range of members of the public;
  • A proven ability to maintain a calm and professional approach when dealing with difficult situations;
  • Ability to work with culturally or linguistically diverse people, ex-offenders, youth and disadvantaged groups;
  • Intermediate to high level administrative skills including ability to type at a minimum of 30 wpm; and
  • Awareness of the Employment Services industry and ability to prepare and edit resumes (desirable).

Remuneration

 

A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
