Work Ready, Release Ready Employment Broker
Salisbury, SA
The Work Ready, Release Ready (WRRR) Employment Broker will oversee and drive employer engagement and servicing for the Work Ready, Release Ready Program. The role will be responsible for securing job opportunities for participants of the program, who are transitioning into the community, after being incarcerated. They will also support the successful delivery of the Industry Stream program, within WRRR.
This position will require self-motivation and confidence in undertaking the engagement process and negotiation with generally small and medium employers.
This role is being offered on a full-time ongoing basis based across our Adelaide North sites.
A current driver’s licence is essential for this role as there will be significant travel required.
You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9 day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full time employee in addition to the ability to salary package. About the Role:
Build and manage effective relationships with employers and secure employment opportunities for WRRR participants.
Target suitable employers who have an Indigenous Employment strategies or social commitment to employing prior offenders and source these vacancies.
Reverse Marketing, including cold and warm calling of employers and advocating for customers
Promote and market Workskil Australia’s WRRR program to employers and other key stakeholders.
Support the Industry Pathway Coordinator to deliver the employer and industry model, required streams and pre-employment programs.
Support and coordinate the delivery of prison jobs expos, program graduations, meet the employer and other events.
Working closely with participants individually or in groups to assist with delivering Employability Skills Sessions and job search techniques.
Maintain up to date knowledge of the labour market within an Employment Region/State, suitable local employers and trends in employment issues that are relevant.
Ensure administrative requirements are accurate and up to date within reasonable timeframes.
Provide reports and other information to management as required.
About You:
Previous Experience within a recruitment, business development or sales role highly regarded
Proficient in Microsoft office suite with high level administrative and time management skills
Sound knowledge of local labour market and the needs and expectations of employers.
Confident with strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with employers and stakeholders
Results oriented and self-driven
Culturally competent in engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants, community and organisations
Hold a current driver's licence
Have qualifications in Community Services, social sciences with a minimum Certificate IV in a relevant discipline or willingness to obtain with Workskil support

Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
